For sale is a complete Megalodon shark tooth fossil originating from the Cape Fear region of North Carolina, USA. The serrations are completely worn, but the bourlette is in very good condition. Gum is nice and smooth as is the enamel is free from any peeling. There are a few nicks along the edge but that is common megalodon teeth from this region.

This tooth is 100% genuine with no repairs or restorations and was measured with a caliper.

This Megalodon tooth is 15.9 to 2.6 million years old. Megalodon sharks swam the prehistoric seas during the middle Miocene to the late Pliocene epochs of the Cenozioc Era. This shark was the largest predatory marine creature to ever swim the Earth’s oceans, vastly outweighing both the modern Great White Shark and ancient marine reptiles such as Plesiosaurs and Pliosaurs. Megalodon could grow to more than 60 feet and weighed 100 hundred tons.
