Posterior Megalodon teeth are not very common. This one has a very nice curve with a pretty well intact bourlette but the serrations are quite worn. Overall, this is a very nice posterior tooth and would make an excellent collection piece. Please view the photos carefully for more information.

This tooth is 100% genuine with no repairs or restorations and was measured with a calliper to ensure accuracy.

This Megalodon tooth is 15.9 to 2.6 million years old. Megalodon sharks swam the prehistoric seas during the middle Miocene to the late Pliocene epochs of the Cenozioc Era. This shark was the largest predatory marine creature to ever swim the Earth’s oceans, vastly outweighing both the modern Great White Shark and ancient marine reptiles such as Plesiosaurs and Pliosaurs. Megalodon could grow to more than 60 feet and weighed 100 hundred tons.
