Quality Red Abelisaurid Tooth from Morocco

For sale is a magnificent example of an Abelisaurid raptor tooth from the Kem Kem Basin in Morocco. Preservation is amazing, with serrations completely intact and little to no enamel shedding. Unlike many Moroccan fossils, this tooth is 100% natural and came out of the ground as is. The enamel is a luxurious shade of deep red with no cracks or flaws. Abelisauridae teeth are easily distinguishable from the Dromaeosauridae family. Even though Abelisaurid has not been officially described in this location, it is known that both Abelisauridae and Dromaeosauridae families are present. Teeth of this quality are very hard to come by, especially ones with no artificial altering. This specimen comes with a free riker display box.

Abelisauridae ('Abel's lizards') is a family (or clade) of ceratorsaurian theropod dinosaurs and thrived during the Cretaceous period. They were carnivorous bipeds and would usually grow between 5 to 9 meters (17 to 30 ft) in length. Abelisaurids were dispersed throughout the southern supercontinent Gondwana, and their fossilized remains can be found in Africa, South America and Madagascar.
