Here is a nice example of a Hadrosaur caudal (tail) vertebra from Southeast Utah, USA. Hadrosaur vertebrae are a very rare find in Utah; so whilst preservation is not the best, this fossil is from a unique and uncommon location. Cretaceous dinosaur fossils are extremely hard to find in Utah, thus making it hard to pinpoint which genus this belonged to but it could belong to Gryposaurus. This fossil is ideal for an advanced collector looking for a rare and unusual specimen.

This specimen is for a serious fossil collector and is 100% natural.

Hadrosaurs (duck-billed dinosaurs) are an extinct group of ornithischian dinosaurs that lived during the late Cretaceous period (90 to 66 million years ago). They were herbivorous and bipedal, with the young mostly walking on two legs and the adults walking on four. Probably the most notable attribute of Hadrosaurs is their flattened, elongated rostral bones, which gives a very distinctive duck-billed look. These dinosaurs were extremely successful, with almost worldwide distribution. For more information on Hadrosaurs, click here.
